We are looking to fill a family medicine locum for a 3-6 month period. The locum would fill approx. 5-6 shifts per week at $500/half day shift, no overhead.

- Licensed to practice in Ontario.

- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
- Experience in a high-volume setting would also be an asset.

We are looking for Physicians to take on an FHO practice.
Criteria for this opportunity are as follows:
- The successful candidate must be licensed to practice in Ontario;
- Bilingual (English and French) is a strong asset;
- Participation in FHO after-hours evening and weekend coverage in addition to regular clinical time as per BWFHT FHO procedures;
- Recognition that BWFHT FHO is affiliated with BWFHT FHT and therefore, patients will have access to FHT Nurse Practitioners, other Allied Health Practitioners and CDMP Programs;
- Previous, demonstrated experience in administrative, governance or clinical leadership roles. Interest and/or commitment (in the absence of experience) will be given consideration;
- Sub-specialties and/or unique skills/experience that provide added value to BWFHT FHO will be given consideration;
- Ability to start practice within a reasonable timeframe;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to inter-professional care are essential.

We are looking for a specialized pediatric consultant to join our comprehensive primary health care team. The pediatric consultant’s area of focus will be to provide care ranging from routine/primary care to acute care and consultation services. You will provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the ByWard Family Health Team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular thorough examinations on newborns and young children to check and record their health and normal physical development
- Examine sick children to determine their condition to gather information about symptoms
- Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and individual medical history
- Prescribe medications and give detailed instructions for administration
- Advise parents on children’s diet, exercise, and disease-preventive measures
- Keep updated records of patients’ illnesses, surgeries, or other medical episodes
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience working as a pediatric consultant
- Knowledge of children’s epidemiology and infectious diseases
- Knowledge of diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation principles and techniques
- Knowledge of medication appropriate for children and their side-effects
- Outstanding diagnostic skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Medical Degree with specialization in pediatrics
- Valid license to practice medicine
- Willing and ready to work flexible hours
- Degree in medicine
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
